The age of distraction and the revolution of Slowtech

Do you constantly look at your mobile phone? Do you check the internet before getting out of bed? Can you not stand in a queue or wait for a lunch partner without being distracted by going online? We live in an age of distraction argues Joe Kraus; we are getting worse at being distracted and the more we do it the worse we get, and the poorer becomes our ability to focus and give something real thought. In this fantastic fifteen minute TED presentation, he makes a great argument for a rising movement called Slowtech. If you can drag yourself away from your phone, it's a very entertaining watch
