I know I've just blogged about Pinterest but it's worth another one because it's insanely hot right now and is being talked about as the next Twitter. The question is, is Pinterest simply built on copyright infringement? - as you can pin any image to your board as you go around the web, the answer is in the most part yes. See this article: 'Pinterest: Delightful, Addictive, Theft'. The people at Pinterest obviously mindful of this have introduced a way of sites preventing pinning - a simple, no fuss solution. It now offers an option for a website owner to disable pinning to Pinterest website with a metatag function. Website owners just need to add this code to the head of web pages:
Whenever someone tries to pin contents from a “nopin” website, they will see this message:
“This site doesn’t allow pinning to Pinterest. Please contact the owner with any questions. Thanks for visiting!”
